Mandarin Salad

Great Salad for winter meals.

ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bunch chopped scallions
  • dash hot sauce
  • 1/4 head iceberg lettuce, clean & dry
  • 1/4 head romaine, clean & dry
  • 1/2 cup cooked, crispy bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1-11 oz. can mandarin oranges, chilled and drained

directions

  • 1

    For the dressing, mix the first 6 ingredients together in a jar ; shake well to combine.

  • 2

    Toss lettuces with the other ingredients and pour dressing over all just before serving.
