Mary Sue's Southern Green Beans

ingredients
- 1-2 pounds fresh green beans
- may sub 2 cans of green beans
- 1 sweet onion
- 3-4 pieces of bacon(she used salt pork)
- Small red potatoes (cut in half)
- Water with 2 beef bouillon cubes OR
- Beef stock, to cover beans.
- Salt & pepper to taste

Prep green beans by cutting ends off and then cut in half. Wash & cut small red potatoes. Dice the onion.

Cook bacon in fry pan.Remove bacon to drain on paper towel. Leave bacon grease in pan and saute onion.

In large sauce pot, add green beans, cover with beef stock (or water w/ beef bouillon. Add Salt & lots of pepper.

Add sauteed onion and bacon grease to beans.Cook on med for 45-60 mins, covered. Top with crunbled bacon when serving.
