Delicious Crab Cakes with Red Chili Mayonnaise
ingredients
- Crab Cakes:
- 16 oz. crab eat
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 TBS mayonnaise
- 1 TBS prepared mustard
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. seafood seasoning (Old Bay)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- Hot sauce (optional)
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- Red Chile Mayonnaise:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 4 tsp. chili-garlic sauce
- 3 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice

For Crab Cakes:

Combine all ingredients in medium size bowl. Use hands to combine well and make patties. Chill patties for 1 hour before cooking. Can be chilled all day if you want to prepare ahead.

Heat generous amount of oil (about 1/4 inch worth) in skillet over medium-high heat. When sizzling add crab cakes. Flip when browned nicely on one side. Transfer to dish lined in paper towels to soak up excess oil. Serve either hot or cold.

For Red Chile Mayonnaise:

Mix mayonnaise, chili-garlic sauce, and 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate.
