CHINESE FRIED RICE
This dish is a favorite at the Gunderson household. Karlyn and Marv tag team making this dish along with the Sweet & Sour Chicken.
ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions tops and all
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 can (5 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and sliced (optional)
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
directions
Sauté onions and celery in butter until pale yellow. Add cooked rice, water chestnuts and soy sauce. Stir lightly until thoroughly mixed, cover. Heat thoroughly on low heat. Makes 4 servings.
