Norfolk Sausage Rolls
ingredients
- 13oz packet flaky pastry
- 1 lb pork sausage meat
- 1 medium onion, chopped and fried
- 1/2 tsp dried herbs
- grated rind 1/2 lemon
- little milk for glazing

Roll out pastry into 2 oblongs. 12“ in by 6”. Cut in half lengthwise, to make 4 long strips 12“ by 3”.

mix sausage meat with remaining ingredients.

divide sausage meat in four, flour your hands and roll each into a thin sausage shape to fit into the pastry strip.

place a roll on each pastry strip.

moisten down one long side of each strip, fold this over the sausage meat to seal with the other edge of the pastry strip.

cut into small sausage rolls, make two slashes in the top of each roll and place on baking tray. glaze with milk.

bake in preheated 425 oven about 20 mins.
