Ham's Halibut
“halibut are among the largest fish in the sea and the largest of all the flatfish. they can grow to more than 8 ft long and 700 lbs. the largest halibut ever caught while sport fishing was 459 lbs in Unalaska Bay. and besides being a good catch, it rates well on the health scale as an excellent source of high-quality protein and minerals and for being low in sodium, fat and calories”
ingredients
- 2.5 lbs halibut fillet
- 1 c mayonnaise
- 1 lime, juice and zest
- 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
- 1 small jalapeno, chopped
- 1 tsp black pepper
directions

1. preheat to 400

2. cut halibut into 6 equal pieces

3. combine mayo, lime juice and zest, ginger, jalapeno and peppper

4. spread mixture evenly on top of each halibut, bake for 15-20 minutes. fish should be opaque and flaky when done
