Lasagna - quick version
This is a quick recipe for Lasagna.
ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1 jar (26 to 28 oz) spaghetti sauce (I like Prego traditional)
- 1/4 cup water
- 9 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 2 cups small curd cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 Tab. grated Parmesan cheese
directions
In a medium saucepan, cook ground beef and onion, drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and water. (Pour the water in the spaghetti sauce jar, shake and add to sauce). Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Spread about 1/2 cup meat sauce in bottom of pan. Layer with 1/3 noodles (uncooked), 1/3 meat sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese, 1/3 mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 5-10 minutes until browned on top. Let lasagna stand 10 minutes at room temperature before cutting.
