Barbecue Beans
ingredients
- 1/2 lb bacon, diced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 can(15 1/2 oz) cannelloni beans, drained
- 1 can (15 1/2 oz) dark kidney beans, drained
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup dark barbecue sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
directions
1. Saute bacon until just brown, but not too crisp. Add onion and continue to cook until onion is translucent and bacon is cooked. Add beans and remaining ingredients and let simmer 30 to 35 minutes.
