  • 6-8 boneless pork chops, excess fat removed
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

  • 1 tsp. orange peel, grated
  • 1 Tbsp. orange juice

directions

  • 1

    1. Poke a few holes into the acorn squash and microwave for 3-5 minutes each to make it easier to cut and peel.

  • 3

    3. Place the pork chops into the crock pot.

  • 4

    4. Place the squash on top of the pork chops in the crock pot.

  • 5

  • 6

    6. Pour mixture into the crock pot, over the squash and pork chops.

  • 7

    7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

notes

My crock pot has a low heat setting of 8 hours, which was what I used with no problem.
