Pork Chop and Acorn Squash Crock Pot Recipe

Moist, juicy prok chops and melt-in-your-mouth acorn squash, all with a citrusy kick of flavor! Yummy and easy!
ingredients
- 2-3 medium acorn squash
- 6-8 boneless pork chops, excess fat removed
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 Tbsp. A-1 sauce
- 1 tsp. orange peel, grated
- 1 Tbsp. orange juice

1. Poke a few holes into the acorn squash and microwave for 3-5 minutes each to make it easier to cut and peel.

2. Once cool enough to handle, cut each squash into 4 wedges and remove the seeds and skin.

3. Place the pork chops into the crock pot.

4. Place the squash on top of the pork chops in the crock pot.

5. Combine salt, sugar, butter, brown sauce, orange peel and orange juice.

6. Pour mixture into the crock pot, over the squash and pork chops.

7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
notes
My crock pot has a low heat setting of 8 hours, which was what I used with no problem.
