Michee's Turkey Chili
Experimented with Chili until my husband finally gave the thumbs up.
ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey (lean)\
- 1 can organic diced tomatoes
- 2 cans organic chili beans in sauce
- 1 chopped yellow onion
- 1 organic chopped bell pepper (Bell Peppers are unusually high in pesticides)
- 2 TBS healthy cooking oil
- 1 clove garlic (or more to taste)
- 4 Tbls chili powder
- 2 Tbls Ancho Chili Powder
- Cayenne Pepper to taste
- Salt/Pepper to taste

Brown Turkey, (add salt/pepper to raw meat and a dash of chili powder and red pepper) after browned, drain.

In a large skillet, Heat oil, add chopped onion, saute till soft.

Add Garlic, chopped bell pepper continue to saute on low until all are soft (5-10 min)

Add meat to mixture, then add un-drained beans, tomatoes, chili powder - cook covered on low for 45 minutes.

Serve with homemade cornbread.

You can pretty much add whatever you want in terms of chili peppers to this basic recipe. Trying ground Tofu would also be interesting.
