This is a typical kerala cusine.This is so simple to make an ddelicious to eat.

ingredients

  • 1.Potato -2 Boiled
  • 2.Onion-1 Sliced
  • 3.Green chilli-3 slited
  • 4.Ginger-1 inch piece chopped
  • 5.Curry leaves-a spring
  • 6.Coconut 1st milk-1 cup
  • 7.Coconut 2nd milk-2 cup
  • 8.Coconut oil-2 tblspn
  • 9.Salt to taste

directions

    1.Break the potatoes in to small pieces with your hand.

    2.In a kadai add potato,sliced onion,Green chilli,Ginger and pour the 2nd coconut milk and stir well.

    3.Add Salt to taste and cook for 5 min.

    4.After the onion had soften,Add the 1st coconut milk.

    5.Stir gently.

    6.Let it cook for 2 min.

    7.Add the curry leaves and cook for 1 min.

    8.At last pour the coconut oil and close the lid

  • 9

    9.Serve hot with Appam,Dosa,Steamed Rice.

notes

1.Always break the potatoes with hand Don’t use knife,The uneven texture of the potatoes gives more taste. 2.Always cook thos stew in medium heat. 3.U can also add Steamed carrot,Beans,Cauliflower to the same recipe for vegetable stew.
