Ghee Rice
ingredients
- 1.Basmati Rice-2 cups
- 2.Ghee-2 tblspn
- 3.Oil-2 tblspn
- 4.Bay leaves-1
- 5.Cinnamon-3 pieces
- 6.Cardamam-2
- 7.Cloves-2
- 8.Cumin seeds-1 tsp
- 9.Salt to taste
- 10.Water-3 cups
- 11.Milk-1 cup
- 12.Cashews-2 tblspn
- 13.Raisons-2 tblspn
- 14.Almonds-2 tblspn
- 15.Coriander- 2 tblspn

1.Soak the basmati Rice for 30 min.Drain the water.

2.In a Hard bottom vessel heat 1 tblspn of ghee and 1 tblspn of oil and fry the nuts and keep aside.

3.Then add Whole garam masala and cumin seeds and let it crackle.

4.Then add the rice and salt to taste.

5.Add the water and milk and stir gently.

6.Bring to a boil.

7.Cover it with a tight fitting lid and cook for 10-15 min.

8.Then remove from heat and transfer to serving dish.

9.Add a tblspn of ghee,and mix.

10. Garnish with fried nuts and coriander.

11.Serve this with chicken curry,gobi manchurian,panneer butter masala
notes
1.You can also garnish with Fried onion 2.Adding a tsp of lime juice gives this dish a edge taste. 3.You can also add food colours or saffron mixed with little warm milk for adding colours.
