Five Hour Oven Stew

A hearty beef stew which makes the entire house smell wonderful!
ingredients
- Stew beef-cut into chunks, approx. 1-1 1/2 lb
- Carrots, chopped
- Celery, chopped
- onions, chopped
- 2-3 cans diced tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca pudding
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Potato chunks
directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Add all the ingredients to a large stew pot except the potatoes, mix and cook for three hours. Add the potato chunks and cook for an additional 2 hours. Occasionally, I like to add half a glass red wine, thyme and pearl onions for a slightly different flavor. Also translates well for the crockpot~
