Soup - Mulligan Stew
Recipe from my Grandmother - Ommie.
ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 head cabbage, cut in large pieces
- 3 cups potatoes, diced
- 1 can (16 oz) pork and beans
- 1 can tomato soup
- salt & pepper
directions
Brown ground beef with salt & pepper, drain. Place cabbage and onion in a dutch oven and fill with water until cabbage and onions are just covered. Boil until soft, In another pan add potatoes and fill with water until potatoes are just covered, boil until soft. When all is cooked pour potatoes (with the water) into the dutch oven with the cabbage and onions, add the cooked hamburger, pork and beans, tomato soup and additional salt and pepper if needed. Cook about 30 minutes. The longer this cooks the better it is!
