Cilantro-Lime Pork Chops
Made best on the grill but you can totally make it in a skillet if someone **Casey** wont get the grill out for you.
ingredients
- 4 thick-cut boneless pork loin, about 1 inch thick
- 1 1/4 teaspoons garlic pepper seasoning
- 3/4 teaspoon onion salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 1 1/2-2 teaspoons grated lime peel
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
directions
- 1
Heat grill to medium direct heat.
- 2
Meanwhile, sprinkle pork chops with garlic pepper seasoning and onion salt; rub to coat. Cover and set aside.
- 3
Blend remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
- 4
Place pork chops on the grill. Cover grill for 3 minutes each side.
- 5
Brush oil mixture per side or until internal temp is 160°f; brush with remaining oil mixture.
- 6
*Choose thick pork chops with pale pink meat. The fat should be white, not yellow.
- 7
*Trim all but 1/4 inch of the fat from the chops. Slash remaining fat at 1-inch intervals to prevent chops from curling when grilled.
notes
You don't have to add the lime peel, it has an amazing taste even without it.
