Maple Baked Lima Beans
ingredients
- 1 pkg Dried Lima Beans (2.5 cups)
- 8 cups Water
- 1 cup Chopped Onion
- 4 slices Bacon Diced
- 1/2 cup Maple Flavored Syrup
- 1/2 cup Catsup
- 1 tbls Worchestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 1 Bay Leaf
directions
In saucepan, bring 8 cups water and beans to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered 1.5 hours. Then pour into bowl, cover and chill. Drain beans, reserving 1 cup liquid. Transfer beans & reserved liquid to crock pot. Stir in onion, bacon, syrup, catsup, etc. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours Remove bay leaf and serve.
