Yogurt and Tamarind Marinated Grilled Chicken

ingredients
- 3/4 c plain yogurt, stirred
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- 3 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1/4 c canola oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp garam masala or ground cumin
- 2 1/4 lbs boneless chicken thighs
- 1 lemon, in 6 wedges
directions

1. combine yogurt, tamarind paste, garlic, oil, salt, cayenne and garam masala. add chicken thighs and mix well. cover and refrigerate 6 hours

2. preheat grill to high heat, grill

marinated chicken thighs on one side for about 2 minutes, turn, repeat

3. grill each side again for 2 minutes, poke thighs with a knife to be sure they are cooked through
