Meatloaf with a Ranch Twist
ingredients
- 1 cup V8
- 4 T brown sugar
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- minced garlic - as much as you like
- 1 T onion powder
- 3 T ranch dressing mix
- 1 t rubbed sage
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t ground black pepper
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350°.

Combine V8, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.

Mix the ground beef, garlic, onion powder, ranch dressing mix, sage, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl. Gradually sprinkle the bread crumbs and mix until they are evenly distributed.

Add the egg and milk and continue to mix.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and put into a loaf pan.

Pour about half the sauce over the meatloaf.

Bake until no longer pink - 1 1/2 hours or so.

Pour the remaining sauce over the meatloaf before serving.
