ingredients

  • 1/2 c chicken, sliced thin
  • 1/2 onion sliced thin
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 oz canned chilis
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery and carrot, julienne
  • 1 c vegetable oil for frying
  • 6 tortilla shells/thai pastry wraps
  • 1/2 c shredded cheddar or mozza

    1. cook oil (bacon grease is great) and add onion to saute

    2. lower heat - add chili, salt, oregano, chili powder and cilantro (simmer for 3 minutes)

    3. add chicken and tomatoes, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes

    4. drain filling and then add 1/2 cup to each shell, enclose

    5. fry in oil till golden brown

  • 6

    6. top with cheese, lettuce, green onion, salsa and sour cream
