Carolyn and Butch's Famous Rolls or Bread
When Daddy makes these, they don’t last long! He makes them for every family gathering.
ingredients
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cups of bread flour
- 1 pack rapid rise yeast
- Butch substitute 1/4 cup sugar for honey.

Heat milk in microwave until warm.

Pour in bread pan.

Add salt.

Melt butter in microwave and add.
- 5
Add honey and beaten egg.

Add flour.
- 7
Make small hole in center of flour and put in the yeast.

Press Dough Cycle.
When dough cycle is complete (bread loaf)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Divide dough in half. (This makes 2 loaves).

Roll each piece into oblong shape and roll up jellyroll style.

Spray loaf pan with spray.

Put dough in loaf pan.

Place loaves in warm area (window or under light on stove).

Cover each loaf with dishtowel.

Let rise 1 to 2 1/2 hours until dough has doubled.

Bake 20 to 23 minutes at 350 degrees.

When you remove from oven, grease each loaf with butter.
When dough cycle is complete (rolls)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Roll out dough on floured surface.

Cut with biscuit cutter or pinch off.

Spray cookie sheet and place rolls on sheets.

Cover with dishtowel and put in warm place.

Allow to rise 1 1/2 to 3 hours.

Bake 350 degrees in preheated oven 8-12 minutes depending on oven.

Remove and grease with butter.
