- Ingredients:
- 1lb ground beef
- 1/2 bag of frozen mixed vegetables (corn, green beans, carrots, peas)
- 1/4 soy sauce
- Black pepper to taste
- Garlic powder (if desired)
- La Choy sweet and sour sauce
- Lumpia wrappers (frozen Menlo brand works well-thaw in refrigerator overnight)
- Cup of water or egg wash
- Vegetable oil for frying
- White rice

1. Brown ground beef, then drain the fat
- 3
2. Add soy sauce, pepper, and garlic powder (if desired). Stir well.

3. Add frozen vegetables. Mix well.

4. Once frozen vegetables are thawed in mixture, take off heat and allow to cool.

5. When ready to roll, separate lumpia wrappers. Cover with damp paper towel to avoid drying out the wrappers.

6. To roll, place the wrapper in a diamond shape and place a heaping tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center.

7. Fold the bottom point over half the wrapper covering the meat mixture.

8. Fold the left side to the right, then fold the right side to the left.

9. Wrapper should now look like an unsealed open envelope.

10. Roll the bottom of the wrapper gently to the top point of the wrapper.

11. To seal the wrapper, moisten the point with a little water or egg wash (beaten egg mixed with water),

12. Heat enough vegetable oil in pan to fully cover lumpia rolls using medium high heat.

13. Once oil is hot enough, gently insert the lumpia rolls and fry until golden brown. Note: Meat mixture is fully cooked, frying is only needed to cook the wrapper.

14. Drain lumpia rolls on a paper towel and serve with sweet and sour sauce and rice.
