The World's Last Deviled Egg

Makes 24 deviled eggs

Generally, these have to be hidden until the guests arrive because the family will eat them all before anyone arrives. Also, if possible, boil a few extra eggs to keep Katherine at bay (especially if your making this recipe Katherine).

ingredients

  • 1 dozen eggs, hard boiled, peeled and cut in half, lengthwise
  • 2 tsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tbl pickle relish
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbl creole mustard
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • Paprika and fresh parsley to garnish (optional)

    1. Remove yokes from hard boiled eggs and place them in a mixing bowl.

    2. Add the remaining ingredients and beat with a mixer until smooth.

    3. Use pastry bag to fill empty egg white halves with yokes mixture. Sprinkle with paprika and fresh parsley.

  • 4

    Tip: To peal hard boiled eggs, gently crack the eggs in a few places after boiling and drop them in a bowl of cold water. Let them stand for thirty minutes. The shells should release from the eggs more easily.
