Sausage and Thyme Stuffing
Gary’s Mom gave me this recipe.
ingredients
- 1 loaf bread, broken into small pieces
- 2 eggs
- 1 qt milk
- 1/2 cut butter (1 stick)
- 1 roll of Jones(frozen)sausage meat, defrosted
- 1 large onion, mince
- thyme, use as much as desired
directions

Soak bread with eggs and milk.

Saute onion in butter and add sausage meat. Cook and stir until mixture is smooth.

Combine meat mixture with bread mixture and add thyme. Mix with hands for a smooth texture.

Bake in casserole dish or stuff bird.

Bake at least one hour at 350°F covered and then an additional 15 minutes uncovered.
notes
If you prefer a more textured stuffing you can use packaged seasoned cubed bread stuffing as a substitute for bread.
