Greek-Syle Grilled Lamb Chops

servings:Makes 6 to 8 servinngs


  • 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 pounds lamb loin or rib chops, 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch thick, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup dried oregano, preferably Greek, or 1/2 cup chopped fresh
  • 6 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

    1. With a knife, nick edges of chops in several places to prevent curling. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients into a paste and rub all over chops

    2. Cover bowl of place whole works in a resealable plastic bag. Marinate for 2 hours at room temperature or refrigerate overnight.

    3.Grill chops over medium-hot coals for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, turning once or twice. Set aside for 5 minutes before serving
