Jenny Rocci's South African trip Guacamole
ingredients
- 8 avocados (very ripe)
- 1 sweet onion, diced
- 5 medium vine tomatoes, diced
- About a handful of cut up cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. salt (surprisingly a lot - salt makes your guac extra tasty)
- 1 tsp. something spicy like crushed peppers, cayenne pepper, paprika, etc. whatever you have; sometimes I add garlic salt
directions
Peel the avocados and mush them up with either a fork or potato masher in a bowl. Dice the onion and tomatoes rather finely (depending on how chunky you want the guac). Cut up the cilantro and mince the garlic. Add the onions, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, and juice of one lime, to the avocado mush, and mix them together. Serve with tortilla chips.
