Turkey Chili

Healthier version of chili. May also be make with ground beef.

ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 4 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Mrs Dash grilling blends (Mesquite)
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 large peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 bottle beer, (1 cup)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, small
  • 1/2 cup smoky BBQ sauce
  • 1-3 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 large can chili beans

directions

heat olive oil and cook turkey. Season the meat with chili powder, grilling seasoning, cumin, worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Break up meat while cooking. Add chopped onions and peppers to meat. stirring for 10 minutes or until tender. Add beer and deglaze pan. Add tomatoes, BBQ sauce, and chili beans and cook until bubbly. Let simmer 10 minutes and serve. Goes great with cornbread.
