Baked Ham & Cheese Sandwiches
ingredients
- 20-24 tea biscuits or other small, soft rolls/buns
- 8-10 oz. honey or deli ham slices
- 8-10 oz. Swiss cheese
- 2 sticks butter
- 2T Worcestershire sauce
- 2T poppy seeds
- 2T honey mustard
- 5T brown sugar

Slice rolls. Alternate ham and Swiss cheese 2 times in rolls to make sandwiches (2-3 slices of each per roll).

Place sandwiches side-by-side in 2 9x13 pans. Set aside.

Melt butter and add Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, mustard, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for a minute until brown sugar is melted and blended. Set aside to cool.

Spoon cooled sauce evenly over sandwiches. Refrigerate covered for 2 hours or overnight.

Bake covered at 350° for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes to brown.
notes
Variation - use roast beef and pepper jack cheese.
