Baked Spaghetti

ingredients

  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper chopped
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 can (28oz) tomatoes drained
  • 1 can (4oz) mushrooms
  • 1 can (2 1/4 oz) sliced olives
  • 2 t dried oregano
  • 1 lb ground beef browned
  • 12 oz spaghetti cooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    In large skillet, saute onion, and green peppers in butter until tender

  • 2

    Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano

  • 3

    Add ground beef (if desired)

  • 4

    Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes

  • 5

    Place half of the spaghetti in a greased 13x9x2 baking dish

  • 6

    Top with half of the sauteed mix

  • 7

    Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese

  • 8

    Repeat layers

  • 9

    Mix soup and water until smooth and pour over the casserole

  • 10

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese

  • 11

    Bake uncovered at 350 for 30-35 min
