Sweet Chex Mix

This is a mix and match recipe that is part mine, part from the Chex box, and part Shelly’s. It’s my favorite combo! I guess this is also sometimes called “White Trash”, but I think that’s just rude!

ingredients

DRY INGREDIENTS:
8 cups Chex cereal (your favorite flavor)
4 cups Golden Grahams cereal
2-3 cups Bugles or Pretzels (or other salty cracker)
2 cups plain M&M’s
2 cups dry roasted peanuts
1 cup coconut (I like to toast mine first)
SYRUP:
1 cup cane syrup or light Karo syrup
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup butter

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl to combine well.

Mix syrup ingredients together in a saucepan & bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes.

Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat.

Spread out on cookie sheets to cool.

Break apart and store in airtight container.
