ingredients

  • 2 cups white or Spanish onions chopped
  • 4-6 celery stalks chopped(2 cups)
  • 1 lb bacon chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 loaves stuffing bread
  • 1 quart chicken broth
  • 2 tabs Bells poultry seasoning(more to taste if desired)

    In a large saute pan add bacon, celery and onion. Cook until bacon and vegetables are soft, about 15 minutes. Cool the vegetable mixture. Break up stuffing bread in a large bowl. Add vegetable mixture toss to mix. Add butter and chicken stock to moisten bread till it form a stuffing consistency. Add the Bells seasoning to desired taste.Stuffing should cool prior to stuffing the bird. Stuffing can also be cooked outside th bird add more butter to moisten the stuffing, while cooking.

    Bake turkey 15-18 minutes/lb at a 350 f. oven.

    Let turkey stand 30 minutes before carving to keep your juices in!
