Feta Fusion
Yum Yum in my tum tum!
ingredients
- 1 lb. elbow pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk, heated
- 3/4 lb. feta cheese
- 3 cups meat sauce
- (I use the following, but you can make it however you’d like: 1 lb. ground turkey, 1 lb. ground sausage, tomato sauce, 1 onion)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cook pasta until al dente.

3. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan brown & crumble turkey, sausage, and onion together. Mix with tomato sauce - set aside.

4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Whisk in flour for 2 minutes. Increase the heat to medium, whisk in the hot milk & cook, whisking, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in feta.

5. Combine meat sauce & 1/2 of the pasta - layer in bottom of dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Combine feta sauce with other 1/2 of the pasta and put on top of the meat sauce. Bake 30 minutes!
