Roasted Broccoli
ingredients
- 4-5 lbs broccoli, cut into large florets
- 5 Tbs olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsps kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
- Lemon
- Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 425F.

Thoroughly dry the broccoli florets and place them in a large baking pan. Toss with olive oil, garlic slices, salt, and pepper to coat.

Roast in the oven 20 to 25 minutes, until crisp-tender and the tips of some of the florets are browned.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice, toss with some grated parmesan, and check seasonings.
notes
Roasting with a tablespoon of pinenuts, or tossing with some lemon zest at the end, gives extra tastiness.
