Coca-cola Cake with Chocolate Coke Frosting
ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 (18.25-oz) package devil’s food cake mix, without pudding
- 1 (3.9-oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 c veg oil
- 1 10-oz bottle Coke (1 1/4 cups)
- Chocolate-Cola Frosting:
- 1/2 c butter
- 6 T Coke
- 3 T cocoa
- 16 oz powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 t vanilla

For cake: Combine first 4 ingredients in a bowl. Beat at low speed until blended; set aside.

Bring cola to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat. With mixer on low speed, gradually pour hot cola into cake batter. Increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Cool cake on wire rack for 10 mins. Frost.

Frosting: Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter melts (do not boil). Remove from heat; whisk in sugar and vanilla.
