Mandarin Salad
ingredients
- 1 cup Slivered almonds
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. sugar.
- 1 head Boston lettuce,
- 1 head leaf lettuce
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 2 cans Mandarin oranges (drained)
- Dressing:
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsps. sugar
- 2 Tbsps. basil
- 8 Tbsps wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- dash tobasco
directions
In skillet, melt butter and sugar and saute almonds, stirring constantly until caramelized. Toss salad greens with dressing. Add almonds on top.
