- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 pint whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 ounces spiced rum (or Irish whiskey)
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 3/4 cup egg whites, pasteurized (from a carton)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- whipped cream
- nutmeg (to garnish)
