ingredients

  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 small onion cut into strips
  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 1 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 t black pepper
  • 3 T lite soy sauce
  • 1/2 c barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups hot cooked brown rice

directions

    1. Heat skillet with oil on medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and onions; cook and stir 6 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Transfer to a large bowl; cover to keep warm.

    2. Add meat, garlic and black pepper to same skillet; cook and stir 3 minutes. Add soy sauce; cook 1 minute or until meat is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Add barbecue sauce; cook until heated.

    3. Spoon meat mixture into a bowl with vegetables; toss gently. Serve over rice.
