Crockpot Dressing
ingredients
- 1 (8-inch square) pan of baked corn bread
- 16 ounces herb-seasoned stuffing mix or 8 slices of day-old bread, toasted and cubed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 2 tsp sage
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup (do not add water)
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbl butter or margarine (or 2 Tbl olive oil)

1.Spray crockpot container with nonstick spray

2.Crumble cornbread into large mixing bowl.

3.Add herb seasoning mix or bread cubes.

4.Add onion, celery, and seasonings. Mix well

5.Pour soup and broth in large bowl and blend and whisk; add to cornbread mixture.

6. Add eggs and stir gently just until yolks are broken.

7.Pour into crock pot and dot with butter.

8.Cook on low 4 hours.

9.If a brown top is desired, place dressing in 13x9 inch casserole and brown lightly under broiler just before serving.
