Southern Beef Pot Roast & Potato's

McCullough Family Tradition
ingredients
- 3-4 pound Beef Pot Roast
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Season-All Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of Mrs. Dash Seasoning
- 1/2 Cup of Flour
- 1 beef bouillon cube or base
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1 small onion peeled & sliced
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 Stalk of Celery
directions
Using a sharp knife make small slits into pot roast on each side. Coat both sides of pot roast with flour. In large skillet melt butter and brown both sides of Beef Roast. Lay Celery stalks in bottom of Crock Pot. Add the potato’s and carrots. Season both sides of roast and place in Crock Pot. Top with sliced onions. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water; pour over meat. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until meat is tender. Change heat setting to warm until ready to serve.
You may substitute white potato’s with red potato’s.
