Scalloped Oysters
ingredients
- 1 qt. oysters, drained, reserving liquor
- 3.4 c. oyster liquor
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 T. flour
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 1 1/4 c. fine cracker crumbs
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1 t. worcestershire
- 1 T. lemon juice
- 2 T. minced green pepper
- 2 T. minced onion
directions
Preheat oven to 375. Warm oysters in 3/4 c. liquor over low heat. Meanwhile, melt butter. Blend in flour. Add in remaining ingredients. Combine this mixture with the oysters and liquor. Put in a greased shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with more cracker crumbs. Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
