Keri's Gyro Situation
I created this dinner c. 2001
ingredients
- 1 lb. lamb steaks
- Cavender’s All Purpose Greek Seasoning
- 1/2 red onion - diced
- olive oil
- pita bread
- fresh spinach, chopped
- diced tomato
- tzatziki sauce
- feta cheese
directions
Wrap pita bread in foil and place in a warm oven. Cut lamb into bite-sized chunks. Place lamb in a bowl. Smother lamb with Greek seasoning. Really, use a lot of the seasoning. Drizzle some olive oil in a warm sautèe pan. Add onion and lamb. Cook lamb quickly over medium-high heat. When meat is ready, take warm pitas out of oven. Make pita like you would a taco: some meat, some spinach, some tzatziki, some tomato, some feta. Enjoy!
