Even Better Scones
The most delicious scones!
ingredients
- 2 cups flour - Gold Medal
- 1 T baking powder
- 3 T sugar
- 1/2 t salt
- 5 T cold, unsalted butter cut into 1/4" cubes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, currants, dried apricots, anything you want for flavor
- Turbinado sugar

Preheat the oven to 425°.

Put flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and butter into a food processor with a metal blade. Give 6 - 1 second pulses.

Add heavy cream and stir with a spatula just until mixed. DO NOT over mix!

Add any extras at this time (dried fruit, white chocolate, etc.).

Form into a ball on a floured surface and flatten slightly. Top with a little cream and Turbinado sugar.

Cut into wedges and place on an ungreased pan.

Bake 12-15 minutes.

Ingredients can be frozen in a plastic bag after the food processor stage.
