ingredients

  • Bread Pudding
  • 12 slices of white bread
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups haly & half
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • Rum Sauce
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 oz. of rum
  • In a double boiler, put milk, sugar and butter.
  • When hot, dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to milk mixture.
  • Stir until thick, remove from heat and add rum when cold.

    In a large mixing bowl, tear bread up and and add sugar, milk, butter, vanilla and eggs.

    Mix well and pour into a greased 9x12

    pan and bake for 20-30 minutes at 450.

    Serve warm or cold with rum sauce or fresh whip cream.
