Bread Pudding & Rum Sauce

ingredients
- Bread Pudding
- 12 slices of white bread
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups haly & half
- 2 1/2 cups fresh milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 5 whole eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- Rum Sauce
- 1 cup half & half
- 1 cup fresh milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 oz. of rum
- In a double boiler, put milk, sugar and butter.
- When hot, dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to milk mixture.
- Stir until thick, remove from heat and add rum when cold.

In a large mixing bowl, tear bread up and and add sugar, milk, butter, vanilla and eggs.

Mix well and pour into a greased 9x12

pan and bake for 20-30 minutes at 450.

Serve warm or cold with rum sauce or fresh whip cream.
