Sayulita Salsa

I went all the way to Sayulita, Mexico to discover the best salsa anywhere. Do not use your food processor for this one. It will take some time to chop by hand, but it is worth it.

ingredients

  • 2 cups Roma tomatoes (seeded and chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped white onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno or serrano
  • good handful of cilantro chopped
  • juice of one lime (the sweeter the lime, the better your salsa will be)
  • kosher salt and pepper to taste

directions

  • 1

    Chop vegetables uniformly and toss with lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.

  • 2

    Serve with fresh tortilla chips.
