PEA SOUP
ingredients
- 2 1/2 c dry peas
- 8 c water
- 1-2 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 pkg diced ham
- bacon grease
- 1 med onion, chopped
- salt
- pepper
- 1/4 tsp dried marjoram
- carrots
- celery
- milk

Soak peas overnight and drain.

Add ingredients together in large kettle and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 min to 1 hour or until peas are extremely soft and broken up.

Add carrots and celery 30 min before completely finished. Add milk for consistency (optional).
