Meg's Party Potatoe Casserole

These are a great potato to serve for a larger group, like Thanksgiving or Christmas

ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen hash brown potatoes (not shredded)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 16oz carton sour cream
  • 1 onion minced
  • 1 8oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • 1 cup a mashed up corn flakes or special K
  • salt and pepper to taste

directions

Let hash brown potatoes defrost a bit before starting. When they are softened some pour in a large bowl. In a smaller bowl mix sour cream and soup, add onion and salt and pepper. Add that to the potatoes along with the cheese and melted butter stir until mixed well. Grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter, pour potatoes into dish and spread evenly, then sprinkle corn flakes over top. Bake for 30-35 minutes in a 350° oven
