Pineapple Torte
ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1 lemon zest
- 4 T. hot water
- 1 pkg. vanilla pudding
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 2 T. Crisco
- 1 lg. can crushed pineapple, well-drained.

Beat the egg yolks and sugar until thick.

Add the next four ingredients.

Beat the egg whites until they are stiff, but not dry. Add to the above mixture.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
Icing:

Cook pudding with milk. Let cool completely.

Beat butter with Crisco. Add pudding mixture and pineapple.

Spread over bottom layer.
