Spaghetti Sauce
ingredients
- 6-7 onions (1/2 white, 1/2 yellow)
- 5 stalks celery
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 green pepper
- 8 large cloves of garlic
- Fresh tomatoes (old and soft)
- Plenty of fresh parsley, diced
- 8 oz fresh or 3 cans mushrooms
- 7 pounds meat (ground round steak or “Kat’s Best Hamburger Meat”)
- 2 large cans (2 lbs, 3 oz.) Progresso tomato sauce
- 1 large can of Hunt’s tomatoes (1 lb, 12 oz.)
- 10 1/2 oz tomato puree
- 1 tomato paste
- 2 or more tablespoons of salt
- 1 or more tablespoons of pepper
- 1 or more teaspoons of crushed, red pepper
- 2 tablespoons of oregano
