Mom's Oatmeal Cookies-Healthy Style (Candace Williams)
These cookies are my mom’s. She started making them when she relized that we kids didn’t need any more sugar in our lives... She tried a million different things and this is what she came up with, and they are so good.
ingredients
- 1/4 Cup butter
- 1/4 Cup applesauce
- 1 egg
- 1/3 Cup milk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 Cups oats
- 1 Cup wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 C raisins
- 1/2 c nuts(optional)
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar packed of course

Mix all dry ingredients in one bowl and liquid ingredients in another. Then, mix together.

Bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes.

Let cool in a container to draw moisture.

Each cookie has less then 1/2 tsp of sugar.

Great to freeze and have on hand when you have guests.
