Meat Pie
This comes from my Nana Plamondon and although my children are not big fans...(Joey says meat and pie should not come in the same sentence!) I still think this recipe needs to be preserved!! What is a holiday without meat pie???
ingredients
- 2 lbs ground pork
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups water
- 2 large onions, chopped fine
- 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of clove
directions

In a large pan, cook water onions and garlic until onions are transparent.

Add meat, stirring until no longer pink.

Add 1 tsp cinnamon (or to taste) and small amount of clove.

If mixture is too thin, cracker crumbs can be added.

Add to pie shell and make vents in top crust.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes and lower heat to 375 for 1/2 hour.
