Fruit Salad - Pear and Lime Jello Salad

I couldn’t find a better picture....the actual salad turns out very similar to the mold portion shown, however I pour his recipe into a 13 X 9 dish instead of a mold and there will be pear halves “jelloed” in.

  • 1 pkg lemon jello

  • 1 pkg lime jello

  • 3 oz. pkg cream cheese

  • 1 can pear halves

  • ½ t ground ginger

  • Maraschino cherries (optional)

  • Arrange pear halves evenly in bottom of 9 X 13 glass dish, cut side down. If desired, place one maraschino cherry under each half. Heat syrup from canned pears and add water to make 2 cups....dissolve lemon jello. When cool, pour over pears and place in refrigerator until set. Dissolve lime jello in 2 cups of hot water, let cool. With hand mixer, beat cream cheese and ginger into lime jello until frothy. Retrieve jelled lemon jello and pears from frig, and pour lime mixture on top. Return to frig.
